    I'm Back!!!

Thursday, September 11, 2008, 09:22 AM CST [General]

Well I graduated from Tech School.  I am back and ready to hit the lanes rolling.  Our league started 3 weeks ago, and I am doing alright. Nothing spectacular as of yet, but after only getting to practice, and no tournaments for the summer, I feel rusty.  I hope everyone has a great fall season.

    Summer School

Sunday, July 20, 2008, 09:21 PM CST [General]

Just wanted to post an update on what is happening with my season.  Well it is on hold.  I was sent to my Technical training school for the Air Force.  I have not been able to participate in any tournaments since March.  I return home in August and hope to do some of the tournaments closer to my home, so I don't have to travel that much since I have not been at home all summer.  I also will miss our leagues meeting and first week.  I hope to travel to St Charles for the non champion tournament, but will be unable to make the practice session.  So I will show up to bowl Saturday and hope to make some cash.

I hope everyone is having a great summer and practicing their shots.

    Until next post, God Bless

    A New Year

Wednesday, March 19, 2008, 08:14 AM CST [General]

Well as we close out the 2007-2008 PBA Regional season, I look back at my rookie year.  Things did not go as I anticipated. I thought being a great practice and league bowler would carry me far, was I wrong.  I bowled in the 2007 Stars and Strikes Regional for my first tournament.  I had the worst scores ever in my life for a tournament, but I did receive many tips, made lots of new friends, and gained an immense amount of knowledge.  I bowled in several more regionals and although I never cashed, I had the time of my life watching and learning from the other bowlers.

In April our new season begins and I am ready. Last week (Mar 14-16 2008) I bowled the Stars and Strikes regional again, usually this is the Midwest regions last tournament.  I bowled my best regional so far and after my squad finished I was in 17th, with a good shot of bowling Sunday.  Well the B squad bowled and they tore up the lanes.  I did not make it through to Sunday, but I knew I bowled good enough for any other day. I was very happy with my look and roll.  I ended up 43rd, and I am ready for next time.  I did learn one valuable lesson. Do not change the way you bowl, just adjust to conditions.  I went back to my way of bowling and I had my best tournament ever.

Good luck in your seasons and until next post, God bless you.
